Amy Garson serves as a Program Analyst for the Surveillance Research Program (SRP) within the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). At SRP, her responsibilities largely entail planning, monitoring, and executing in-house and extramural budgets. She also provides programmatic and fiscal analyses for use by senior staff in directing research and manages SRP administrative operations by providing guidance on related policies and procedures.
Ms. Garson earned her BS in Physical Education with a Minor in Business Administration from the University of Delaware and completed courses (27 credits) towards a MS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Maryland. Her prior work experience includes working as a Program Specialist in the Office on Smoking and Health with the Centers for Disease Control and as an Administrative Officer in the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences Administrative Resource Center servicing the DCCPS/SRP.
