Funding Opportunity: New Informatics Tools and Methods to Enhance U.S. Cancer Surveillance Research
To advance surveillance science by supporting the development of new and innovative tools/methods for more efficient, detailed, timely and accurate data collection by population-based central cancer registries in the U.S.
- Development, validation, evaluation of tools/methods to facilitate data extraction from unstructured medical records.
- Development of approaches for integration of registry with medical data to supplement data items currently not captured by registries.
- Development of approaches for obtaining ongoing prospective reporting of data that can become part of the registry data flow.
UG3/UH3 Phase Innovation Awards Cooperative Agreement (must apply for both phases together).
Award Project Period
Up to 5 years.
U.S. institutions only. Interested investigators must partner with a minimum of two U.S. population-based central cancer registries.
