Sylkk Ansah joined the Surveillance Informatics Branch of the Surveillance Research Program in 2018 and serves as a project manager for the NCI-DOE Pilot 3 collaboration. Sylkk took a leading role in managing a usability study with 4 SEER registries and the Department of Energy (DOE) to determine the best way to integrate a DOE-developed Application Platform Interface into the SEER registry production workflow.

Sylkk has been managing Pilot 3’s effort in attaining the necessary software enhancements for pathology report annotation as well as organizing efforts for all publications for the Pilot program, from distribution of abstracts and manuscripts for review to reconciling approved papers with PubMed.

Sylkk is a native of Alexandria, Virginia, and earned a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Before joining SRP, Sylkk worked in telecommunications as a Solutions Specialist, where he delivered software solutions to small businesses through data analytics and benchmarking. He also worked in the automotive industry, where he used data analyses to predict customer behavior. He is an avid sports fan, and his two favorite teams are Arsenal FC and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
