Incidence Tab

A tab of the Session Setup window used for selecting an Incidence file to import.

 

Description

This tab allows you select a file for import which contains Incidence Rates. An Incidence data file must be in CSV (Comma Separated Values) format, and contains 4 columns named "dx_yr", "dx_age", "count", and "pop". These correspond to the Year of Diagnosis, the Age at Diagnosis, the Count of Cases, and the Total Population. Controls

  • Select Data File box - This box displays the file and path of the data file (CSV) that you wish to import. 

  • Browse button - Pressing this button will display the Open File dialog to select a CSV file from your hard drive. Once the selection is made, the Select Data File box will be filled in.

  • View button - Pressing this button will display the View File Window, showing you the contents of the file. 

  • Polynomial Model radio button - This option indicates that you would like to use the Polynomial Model when performing calculations with these rates. 

  • Exponential Model radio button - This option indicates that you would like to use the Exponential Model when performing calculations with these rates.
